  1. Hi Andy,

It’s good to see a huge potential to make money through mastering SEO and providing the service to others. I am sure there is no ceiling to the income that SEO professionals can make.

I also love keyword researches to find out what keywords work well on search engines. By doing that, I can rank my articles higher on SERP so that people can easily find my posts. And then, I gain more chances to promote my stuff. So, SEO is definitely a must-learn for every blogger and online business owner.

    Cheers,
    Matt

  2. Recently I have read quite a few articles and posts on wealth Affiliates. This is by far the best I have read, geat work. Learning SEO and how to write quality content is the key to getting good rankings on Google. It is also great that you tell people that it’s not as easy as it sounds, and does take quite a bit of work. As you probably already know, most people quit in the first 6 months if they don’t get sales. I really enjoyed reading this post, Thank you

  3. Having a good understanding or knowledge of how to go about SEO makes a big difference with having much success in the online world. We all want our hard work to be paid off and we all want to be recognized by the 3 major search engines especially Google but in order for that to happen, we must understand SEO. Thanks so much for the breakdown and for sharing.

    • Recognition in SEO means success regardless of your business. Be it an SEO working for clients, an affiliate working for yourself, or a company with products to sell there is not much you can do to succeed without Search Engine optimization except pay high dollar for targeted advertising.

  4. Excellent article on the value of learning SEO and how to write content that Google will love.  As you pointed out, an SEO consultant can earn $100 an hour or more, and in local marketing some clients might be worth $2,000 per month to you in revenue.

Do you see any ceiling on how big you can scale this business?

    • Bill there is no limit. My own plan is to franchise local offices as our name grows with dotLocal SEO. I can’t cover a globe by myself and don’t want to have 10,000 employees to please, but a franchise system makes sense.

  5. Thank you very much for this introductory post on how to get started with SEO. I have been researching about this topic but previous posts just explained things to difficult to understand. And this guy from Ahrefs that you embebed in your post, his video is so good too. Overall, I feel I have learned a ton. Thank you very much!

    • The secret to success is having good teachers who break things down, the will to implement the things you learn as you learn, and the ability to stick with these concepts and see them gain traction and bring a return on investment. SEO is not the fastest path to profits but it is a system that will bring you more results for less money long term. If you can build a business out of it even better.

  6. Latent Semantic Indexing, I need to learn more about this bit, it sounds very useful. I love how much information is in this post. It looks good, is easy to understand, is easy to read and keeps me engaged. I take it these are also skills learnt from WA? I am impressed with the service of WA, I have been with them for a while and they do a great job of helping me whenever I am stuck. Coming across articles like this always helps me to reinforce what I have been learning and see how well others are doing with the WA training. This post is inspiring.

    • I love a post that tells a story instead of just raw information. I try to tell a story with my post so things make sense and resonate with the readers. Wealthy Affiliate teaches you to tell stories and connect with the audience on a personal level. If not my tribe would not be strong enough to follow over here from my last blog and get us launched with such vigor.

  7. Thanks for thoroughly explaining about learning SEO and writing content. I am trying to learn about content marketing but it seems hard 🙁 My background isn’t from IT or journalism, so I’m a bit struggling to learn it. I have a question regarding keywords. Which one should I focus on when writing content if I can’t find low-hanging fruit keywords that I want?

    • Always look for Low Hanging Fruit. They will not frustrate you as much as trying to outrank billion-dollar companies will. The added time in research is worth it.
